Summer invites us to disconnect, to move more freely, to dress lightly and enjoy unique, often shared moments. But in this apparent informality of summer, it is precisely where good manners and respect for others become more visible — and necessary.

At Edda Accademia di Stile, we believe that etiquette doesn’t take a holiday: it adapts, it softens, but it never disappears. That’s why we’ve gathered a series of practical tips to help you relax this summer... without losing your style.
1. On the beach, less is more.
Don’t take up more space than necessary and keep the music and your voice down.
2. Nudity is not freedom, it’s context.
Not every place is appropriate for swimsuits or bare chests.
3. Relaxing doesn’t mean losing your style.
Light clothing is fine, but keep it elegant: a pareo, a shirt or a simple dress is enough.
4. Being punctual is also summer courtesy.
For dinners, excursions or shared plans, punctuality shows respect.
5. Informal dinners, but with charm.
A simple table can be very chic if it’s clean, tidy and tastefully set.
6. At festivals or concerts, others' space matters too.
Avoid pushing, shouting or over-recording. Presence can also be elegant.
7. Tourism yes, but be mindful.
Don’t pick flowers, shout in quiet villages or invade local privacy.
8. In sacred places or museums, respect is essential.
Dress modestly, speak softly, put away your phone and don’t touch what shouldn’t be touched.
9. Not everything needs to be shared.
Ask permission before photographing people and don’t post without consent.
10. Local food: be curious, not demanding.
Tasting typical dishes is part of the journey. If you don’t like something, thank them politely anyway.
11. Children are educated even on holiday.
A child who greets, thanks and respects shared spaces reflects well on the whole family.
12. After a trip or an invitation, say thank you.
A message, a note or a small gesture leaves a lasting impression… with style.
True elegance is not rigid: it’s the ability to adapt naturally, even under the sun. A little attention, discretion and sensitivity is all it takes to enjoy summer with joy… and with class.
Because where there is respect, there is beauty. And where there is style, there is harmony.
Happy holidays!
