I am Edda Abbagliati – a consultant with a long international career and the founder and director of Edda Accademia di Stile.
My studies and experience in the international Tourism and Hospitality sector led me to create Edda Accademia di Stile 20 years ago.
My passion for etiquette, protocol, and good manners developed over the years as I observed significant gaps in this area, not only in the tourism sector but also across various types of businesses and professional levels.
I completed my studies in Chile, Argentina, Switzerland, and Spain, and my life, which I describe as "nomadic," has taken me to live and work in countries like Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
In Spain, I solidified my passion for the subject of international etiquette.I resided In Milan – Italy for 20 years. It was in this fascinating city, where I took the decision to open Edda Accademia di Stile. The idea was to offer courses for professionals of various levels and on an international scale.
Since 2012, I have lived with my partner in England.
My mission is to offer tailored education that allows students to develop high-level social and professional skills in any context.
We have a global vision with a constant international outlook.
We deliver our courses in three languages: Italian, English, and Spanish.

OUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I was born in Santiago, Chile, the vibrant capital of a country that many call "the end of the world." As the daughter of European immigrants, I carry with me a rich cultural heritage that blends Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and English roots.
My education has always had an international focus. I attended a bilingual (English-Spanish) school in Chile, then continued my studies in Switzerland, and later completed high school in Buenos Aires, always within a bilingual environment.
My passion for travel and hospitality led me to pursue studies in Spain, specializing in a discipline that was innovative at the time: Hospitality and Tourism Management. This was the starting point for a career dedicated to the world of travel, airlines, hotels, and, above all, customer service.
I began my career in the Canary Islands, managing operations in the tourism sector, and later moved to Madrid, where I took on the role of head of contracting for one of the largest Spanish tour operators.
In 1992, I took a major step towards entrepreneurship by founding my tourism consultancy firm in Milan. We offered international representation for independent hotels, hotel chains, the MICE sector, tourism boards, and hospitality operators. At that time, Italy represented a key market full of opportunities.
At the same time, I always nurtured my passion for training. From the beginning, I recognised the importance of training professionals not only in technical aspects but also in what we now call "soft skills." To fill this gap, I founded Edda Accademia di Stile, a project dedicated to preparing professionals from all sectors with interpersonal and etiquette skills.
